Karen has just completed her Bachelor's of Kinesiology at the University of the Fraser Valley, and is also a certified personal trainer and a student athletic trainer for the UFV rugby 7's team, where she shows her knowledge in injury prevention and management of athletes. Karen has also made multiple trips down to Antigua West Indies where she has taught students with physical disabilities how to stay physically active even with their limitations. This has helped Karen recognize that with the right mindset and tools, even someone with all the odds against them can achieve anything. As an avid exerciser with a background in competitive soccer, Karen recognizes the importance of starting with proper technique and education, building towards better performance and success on the field of play. In addition, for those who are playing the sport of life, lifelong fitness is also important to Karen as this allows people of all ages and abilities to do what they love to do.
